only the seller of the computer can install the game and that game is linked to that computer and that oem. so only oem can install the game on the computer and if you don't have a oem install it yo...

@gg123xyz What about custom built PCs or if you upgrade components and it changes your HWID profile? If you're going this far then just have Respawn lease special PCs to play Apex on. Also, anti-cheat has single digit false positives. So if anti-cheat screws up you get an even bigger ban hammer?
@B0n3SawMcSizzla if i were to make a recipe to make this work, i would have the oem be affiliated with xbox live, nintendo, or psn, or all of them, and these services dl a pc version of the game onto the users pc.
to get this download you need to have bought the pc from the oem. the oem has a hw id on it, it lists the users name, address when they bought it, age, name of the pc, and such stuff.
then the user can buy video cards or sound cards or cpu and it doesn't affect the id hw in any way because these are hw not name and address and time they bought the computer.
then the game is installed and the user can access origin or steam and play their game on pc.
if they get banned for cheating the oem is notified and they decide if they warn or remove the game from the pc or what.
then the pc can be locked from the game and now you have a oem and it might warn other oem that your a hacker and now you need some one else to let you play the game ontheir pc and if you wreck it on them it can be linked to other stuff than the game like a social credit score and it might be bad for them.

- @B0n3SawMcSizzla if i was going to go and add this to the do it yourself where people build their own pc they would first have a motherboard. it has a chip that installs the hw id that when wrote something happens to the board and activates a stamp that burns the board so it can't be rewrote. only read.
that is the main ingredient. then when the pc is finished built and runs windows it logs into the oem which writes to the hw chip and prevents it from being rewritten. then installs the game on the pc.
and the parts like videocard can have a array of similar write blocks that also melt and can only be read so the hw id is written to these parts and these are all read by the oem before the oem installs the game.
then when the videocard runs out of block to write too it can't install any new motherboard id and needs to be replaced but nobody replaced their motherboard every year and videocards last 5 years or so.They could do something like that if it was for all games in general. It would become an IEEE standard. They wouldn't just do it for Apex. You also have to understand that OEMs especially will knit pick HW changes to MBs that are in the nickel and dime range.
