Anyone Else Getting Ghost Hit Reg’d in Squad Matches Lately?

I’ve been noticing something weird—and a bit frustrating: getting “ghost hit-reg’d” in squad matches. You know how sometimes you unload a full mag into someone’s dome, see the hit markers… but none of your shots actually register? They’re suddenly full HP by the time you peek back? It's like the game just disappears what you did a few milliseconds ago.
Here’s what’s been happening:
- I’ll be shooting, see my hits, but then the enemy turns around and it's like nothing happened.
- Happens across legends and loadouts, so it's not tied to a specific Legend or ability.
- Seems to happen more often when pinging enemies or swapping weapons quickly.
- Lagometer and ping seem fine, so it doesn’t feel like my connection—but maybe I'm just missing something.
Has anyone else run into this? What’s your theory—netcode? Hitbox shifts? Desync or packet loss that we don’t get feedback on? Are you dealing with this more in Solo vs. Duos vs. Squads? Any tips or workarounds you’ve stumbled onto?
