Anyone else tired of randoms hot dropping yet can't hack it?

I'm not the best player in the world, but I will survive a hot drop if both of my other teammates are equally competent. Or I semi-hot drop, meaning I land near the hot drop, but loot up quick and then head there rather than scrambling around carrying attachments for a gun I don't have. Not to mention the RNG. No guarantee you will have a gun at all wherever you land and you're basically dead.

Also, when I say randoms not being able to hot drop, it's astounding how many kills and whatever else they have, yet lose to a guy with a P2020 while they had purple armor and a 301 and spitfire. Or even lack of kills. They have a high level and yet never produced 100 kills on their main.

I'm sure a lot of people are tired of hearing about people complain about randoms and LFG or making friends is better, but not everyone you befriend will be on whenever you're on. And LFG is more toxic than randoms in my experience. Even worse players. Siege has a more competent player base and less toxic. I swear dude, the majority of those who do play Apex will kill the game. Literally, the first few months were great when Apex dropped, it had promise. I have no idea wtf happened.

  • @AudaciousNative Hot dropping is honestly the biggest gamble in the game.

You either land & get blessed with some fightable loot or you have nothing, panic, run around like a headless chicken.

I think some players just drop because hot drops are good for training purposes. I hot drop all the time as an experienced player because I like the thrill of it and I like to try and get early kills. Of course, I die a lot but it is what it is.
  • And that's the thing there too. No need to hot drop to get good. If you play any FPS and are decent at it, you are good regardless. The only real thing you need to learn from then on is the legend's ultimates and tacticals. Alongside the map. But there is a rarity in having great players on your team. You're most likely against them while you have the rejects.

  • @AudaciousNative I can't say anything about lfg, but i used to play with my friend and our playstyles were different. Maybe if the clubs are more specific about what their playstyle is. I don't recall "hotdroppers" or "Rush" or "third partiers" in the tags of any club, lol.

I don't have Siege but i think their base is more toxic from what i've seen, idk 🤔
  • @AudaciousNative Only thing I could suggest is dropping away from your group to somewhere nearby hoping they survive the opening seconds until you can come help lol.

Or no fill Duos since that would be easier than no filling trios. But you don't even have to select no fill. You'll probably get launched solo anyway lol.
  • I wouldn't say the hardest game. More so the people you are teamed with make it hard. I feel like I have better teammates on the losing side of a Battlefield game.

Yes. They are just trolling. No one can be constantly that bad.

I do nto believe hot drop provide you with any good learning. As  you said, it is a gamble.

Do you know that people purchase boosted accounts? I did not know this until it was obvious from seeing level 500 players make the worse plays i have ever seen in apex. Have no movement, and absolute no aim.... Then I googled it. And found out that there is a market for boosted accounts.

    Sadly.
