1. Don't need my hud to tell me how many bullets I have - it's never enough anyway.
2. The more scarce the loot gets to be then the more the role of luck is magnified. Not sure I'd call that "hardcore." Unless they're just saying that it will be level one everything, no more level 2, 3, or 4.
3. You are 100% right that the goal would be to make people play thoughtfully, but the reality would be "different game mode, same garbage."

Would not be remotely interested in this type of game mode. It lacks originality or creative imagination. Its apex with out a UI. Not much to get hyped about. We already can 1 mag people in the time a hardcore bullet could kill someone.

Doesn't sound like something that really belongs in a BR. And yes, scarce loot seems unappealing considering the amount of complaints with the poor loot pool to begin with.
I also don't believe most will even play that mode the way it is meant to play.
