@WhoopFighter and @BallisticMVP
The info came from Steam Charts.
Yes the Finals and Apex are not very much alike however others here in the past were really outspoken about how Apex was so horrible and that this new FPS game "The Finals" was going to K.O. Apex.
I did not believe that then and I do not believe that another new FPS game can do that right now.
We hear it all the time. The game is dying or will die. A new game will replace it yada yada. It will never happen. No game on the market at this time can touch apexs movement and other mechanics. Many games have tried and many games have failed trying to do so.
Hyperscape = Dead
Off the Grid = Dead
Concord = Dead
The Finals = Dead
So many have tied and so many have failed. People will stop comparing subpar games to this elite game one day. 😃

Preach it brother, let the truth be known.

It's exactly the same as Apex, but a little more modern and less futuristic.
3 point squad royale, characters with passive abilities and active abilities.
It also has Jeeps, Helicopters, and rocket launchers.- CCbathwater9 months agoSeasoned Ace
Meh. All the f2p (online) shooter games released in the past 5 years have been meh. I still find it funny that Apex players, in all their seriousness, actually thought half of these games would replace Apex. Overwatch? Come on, looks like a poor cartoon. Don't even understand how it qualifies as a "shooter" anyway.
As I've said before, the only shooter that surprised me, and has given me the opportunity to completely shelve Apex for the time being, is The First Descendant. Though only a PvE shooter, but they sure did nail movement and gunplay, which all the other shooters didn't, from an Apex player's perspective anyway.
Also a weird experience... on TFD PC players and console players just get along. It's been a hard adjust for me, but I'm getting there.
"It also has Jeeps, Helicopters, and rocket launchers."
So... nothing like Apex then.

Hyperscape is the only one that kinda makes sense on that list. Were people really saying it would be an Apex killer? I don't remember that one.
The Finals and Concord have nothing in common with Apex. Also, the Finals is far from being dead. It has a healthy player base. Not sure why you're claiming it's dead.
What stats are you finding that would indicate Off the Grid is dead? It's in EA with some substantial performance issues, so maybe it's not that popular yet, and maybe it never will be, but an unfair comparison in it's current state.
It's a silly argument to begin with, but these comparisons are really poor examples in my opinion. Typically, nothing comes along and kills the original game if it's done well. People been throwing out "WoW killer" for decades at this point? It's not a serious discussion, but it's also weird to claim victory of games that supposedly challenged Apex and died.
