Theory: apex mobile acts as two things, a money maker and a testing ground for main apex. Most mobile players would play on a controller, much like most of the main apex player base. So mobile can also serve as a testing ground for main apex. As regular apex is on an old engine, and creating new things on it is more expensive, they’ve created a mini mobile testing ground, and also monetized it so they can have more bang for their buck. Comparing apex mobile to PUBG mobile is not quite the best comparison, as the mobile market is big, PUBG mobile has been around for longer than regular apex has, so having specifically those numbers in mind would be a bit crazy for the devs in mobile. Clash of clans has been around for ten years, and hasn’t reached those profits. So in conclusion, apex mobile is just a monetized testing ground.
