Apex is fun but ranked isn't

@damsonwhufndthis Nonsense. If you're legitimately good you'll advance to your natural rank even if you get unlucky with a poorly timed 5th party. Unless you're highly skilled and dumb you'll advance.

I do agree that ranked needs tweaking though. Rewarding pure kills is foolish but players that hide shouldn't be able to rack up the points either. I'd like it if they added a feature that gave something for the players to fight for in game.

Different points on the map that can be taken in a king of the hill style mini-game maybe? You win and you gain RP and maybe a small advantage towards winning the game? 

I'd also like it if placement gives you nothing unless you have kills or squad wipes credited towards your team.

@heme725in solo squad with players that climbed the ranks by surviving? against coordinated  stack? yeah perhaps slowly

@damsonwhufndthis Depends on how good the player is and how high you expect them to climb. I haven't been playing as often as before but I'd expect Pred level players to at least make Platinum on their own. I personally feel that your rank as a solo climber is your "true" rank but obviously you'll go further as a triple stack.

Of course that wasn't my main point. I hate that you can rank up to a certain point by just surviving and I want them to change the system without over valuing kills.

and it's the frequency of either of players you get matched with what feels like, playing with more great players that can do stuff feels good..

but getting those players that often loot, just to become a walking pinyata... I love looting, but I don't like looting for others...

I dunno, i enjoyed playing ranked first split this season.  I actually played enough to make G2, which is a lot more than I've played in previous seasons.  But I have a solid duo, and that will definitely change the experience.  I have to admit that I have not once solo queued for ranked.  I'm not a masochist.

I dont understand, if you like hot drops and 3 squads left after 5 minutes play pubs.

You just cant do that in ranked, the skill level is higher for one and for two youve already pointed out you lose RP.

I normally push for a few kills then dial back until there are like 6 or 7 squads left, that way im max shielded and know i will post +RP

I think you are also missing the core premise of BR which is survival, if you just want to rack up kills go play COD, thats NOT what BR is about so your wrong, you dont need to be a pred god or a rat, just smart...........

@dougieeeI understand that, though, core BR mechanic being survival, doesn't sound very legit in Apex, because there are 6 squads always 3rd partying each other, quite the opposite of survival if I say myself, creating fights inside fights is asking to be picked up after you secure one squad wipe

but I don't do that, yet sometimes no matter how much you move and stay low and barely show yourself before you pick a fight, there are those games where you get suddenly jumped even though you were convinced that this is a 3v3 and that you've covered a big area to prove that...
