Apex Ranked Absolutely Broken?

My squad is 2 Gold 1s, and one Plat 3. We have all been hard stuck on these levels for the past month at least because nearly every team we die to has a MASTERS badge. How in the world is a Gold average team getting put against masters and even pred players? There is no universe where it is fair for someone who has ever been pred to play against us. Is the Ranking system broken? What is happening to skill based match making? I just want to play a game with players that are around my same skill level.

    @Goldylocks71 EA ban waves banning higher prestige players from EA games. Forcing the small pool of high ranked players into the lower ranked lobbies. Furthermore, less players playing Apex than before. Another factor of higher ranked players into lower ranked lobbies. Or vice versa. Just a tip though to counter the masters and preds, don’t focus on looting. Take the fight to them. And fight with speed. Constantly be moved no to get in circle before ring closes you into a death pit.
