I think that's why it's called "Access". Because you only have access to Origin Access Vault games and items while your subscription is active. 🙂

Play Apex Legends by June 30, 2019 using the EA Account linked to your Origin Access Premier or Origin Access Basic membership, or the Xbox Live account linked to your EA Access membership, and you’ll be able to snag all this:
1000 Apex Coins (worth £7.99†)
An exclusive Flatline Epic Weapon Skin (“In the Game” for Origin Access members, and “Greenback” for EA Access members)
A special Banner Badge.
(snag-get-acquire-obtain) Indicates that those items are yours.
It doesn't say i have access during the period of the subscription except in the terms which the vast majority will not read.

While I completely understand where you're coming from I also think that the fact that you gained access to something via a subscription called 'Access' indicates that you only have temporary entitlement to the subscription's offers.
In the link you provided in your post it does say: "The Apex Games have begun, and if you’re an EA Access or Origin Access member*, you can enter the arena with some exclusive swag." So it does actually say "if you’re an EA Access or Origin Access member*, you can enter the arena with some exclusive swag."
The asterisk means there is a footnote at the bottom of the page which in this case says: "*CONDITIONS, LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS APPLY. SEE ea.com/ea-access/terms AND origin.com/store/origin-access/terms FOR DETAILS."

This will be the first subscription offer where I get free items and they take them away when the sub ends.
I initially got the basic under the impression that I would get to keep those items after the sub.. ie I only need to be a sub to receive them and they have the added benefit of me browsing their games library potentially paying more.
Had I known this was not the case I would have just bought the apex coins from the client.
Altho you are correct in what was stated in the post it is very misleading and doesn't make the point clear at all, unless you read the terms.
£7.99 for 1000 coins would now cost me nearly £12 and has put me off now and i'm obviously not the only one that has had this confusion.
