Arena matchmaking

What happened to the sweaty games that would often result in 5-3 or sudden death? It's either 3-0, 3-1 or 0-3,1-3. Winning half the game I play and losing the other half isn't the definition of 'fun'.

I played for 2 hours yesterday, only one game was actually fun. One more game was fun but only because of funny, with some NSFW interactions with a Wraith named 'Boo simp' about my username and a jealous Valkyrie as our third. 

Harder opponents+better teammates>>>> Meh opponents+newbie(or good) teammates(or harder opponents+newbie teammates).

    @hayhor It was fine for first couple of days, but now it's stale. They need to nerf(or buff, depends on how you see it) whatever crappy MMR algorithm they are using.

    Bro I'm so tired of getting stuck with two level 5 teammates that don't know how to communicate and want to push 1v3 against a team of Preds. It's happened multiple times now and I can only carry so far lol I lost my 12 win streak because of that 😭 I can't wait for ranked arenas

    the whole arena idea was good.

    but the guys that made it actualy happen do not have a clue about fun..

    the maps are to few (tree of them)

    and sbmm in arenas is a big roflmao.

    and what is it with buying shizzle at the start? as long as your enemies have the same armor and buy options is only a waste of game time.

    After playing Arenas exclusively for over 28 hours, I have come to the conclusion that Arena suck. At least keeping in mind the crappy hidden 'MMR' they have, you are left with nothing but cheap, hollow and lifeless victories against sub-par opponents. And when you do get a team that's around your skillset, the game gives you the same sub level 100 teammates that have zero clue as to what they are doing. Already said above, either a 3-0,3-1 win or 0-3, 1-3 loss.

    And going back to BR, you realize that it had made you worse than you were. Ofc you will bounce back to your original skill eventually, but first few hours of BR will be just pain and suffering.

    Enjoyed it for the first week but now it's back to crappy MMR. Don't play only Arena, it's not any good in its current state. I would rather get third partied into oblivion.

    @xKatieRKhaosx I am not optimistic about Ranked, but I guess we will see.

    @BaldWraithSimpArenas has serious potential, especially for competitive people with friends.

    I prefer a mixture of games tho.

    @hayhor I just hope it doesn't turn into crapfest that Platinum IV is. And leaked version only suggests a 'badge' as reward lol

    'tier demotion protection' is the pinnacle of stupidity, proposed by some Bronze tier dev. I wouldn't be surprised if they put the same crappy system in Arena ranked.

    Maybe its me but I think I like Arena more. I've gone 5-3, sudden death with red shields, whatever, quite a few times too. That said, I still got a few matches that ended up like you described. 

    I also had a match that started with no one in the enemy squad. Literally no one, it was a 3 v 0. And after the start of round 1, the game gave victory to us. And yes, it actually counted. Which brought my win ratio to 47%. Which is still about winning half and losing half... yeah nvm.
