Aussi servers - Ranked matchmaking issue

Well Australia+New zealand is just 30 million people total (and there's really not much else around). You'll never have big enough gamer population for BR's. If you want ranked matches in Apex, I'm afraid you'll have to make it a national sport and make sure your 4 year old brother and 90 year old grandmother play it too.

I guess the only realistic option is to play on Asian servers.
