Banned for defending myself from belligerent monster, how to refund battle pass?
I like most people in the Apex chat experience verbal abuse almost nonstop, probably at least in 50% of the games and in about 10% of games it can get extremely racist and hurtful. I do my best to resist responding and generally only say something back after being completely assaulted by someone.
Recently I was verbally assaulted by someone and after being attacked by them I said one insulting word, one of the least insulting words in the english language and a word that pales in comparison to the verbal assault I was responding to. This word is a playground insult, and I only said it after real verbal abuse came my way.
I went on about my day and started unwinding from what this guy yelling at me about 20 minutes later, and I even purchased a batlte pass at some point. Then I later woke up to find out that I had been banned.
Upsetting I thought since I have just bought the battle pass and put in over 100 dollars into this account. But two things are even more upsetting than being banned from this game.
A. The real person doing damage here was not banned, I sent multiple emails asking what was going to happen to them and each email was not read but a copy paste answer was given back, completely ignoring any context to the playground insult I defended myself with.
B. The system has locked down my ability to refund the battle pass and my items that I've purchased. Customer service also cites only the ban and nothing about the refund. I'm banned now, for defending myself against the person that should have been banned with a playground insult --> because of this ban I can not take advantage of my purchases so the least EA could do is refund me since I'm being kicked while i'm down and the person who insulted me at the highest decibels his voice allows is laughing at how his report resulted in me being banned..
Who do i have to speak with to have a reasonable outcome here?
