Banned shortly after making an EA account and playing a single player tutorial.

Hi all, 

Just wondering if others have had similar happen and how to proceed: 

My EA account is new, I made it shortly after Christmas time because my friends wanted to play Star wars Squadrons. I buy the game on Steam and it says to make an EA account, so I do that. I link with my Steam account and I can play the game now. I go and do the tutorial so that I have access to play online with my friends. I proceed to not play for 2 weeks because I was busy with work + school. The next time I try to open Squadrons I am banned. 

I'm not really sure what rule I could have broken in the user agreement or TOS by playing the tutorial alone, I submitted a ticket and got a reply 2 weeks later saying nothing more than "Yup you should be banned, please read user agreement and TOS". 

Needless to say, it is rather frustrating to get a useless reply like that. Is it possible for me to just make a new EA account to link with the Steam account to play with my friends or do I just have to submit more tickets to EA or am I just hooped and out 30 bucks (tried to return game on steam, not allowed after 2 weeks I waited for ticket etc.).

    You can try contacting an advisor to see if there's any other information they can give you. We won't be able to provide any details through Answers HQ.

  • The article does not help. The article says how to submit a ticket but as I mentioned in the original post I have already done that.

    @rabdor4444 

    We can't help with banned accounts here. Only ToS can do that. The best you can do is submit another dispute. If they keep coming back saying the ban needs to remain in place, the investigation didn't turn up any evidence showing they mistakenly banned the account.

  • My goal is not to have the ban revoked by posting here, but to find out if there is a way for me to find out what the specific reason for the ban was. The response to my first ticket had no info. It is incredibly frustrating to be banned and not have a specific reason, on my side it seems that I just lose $30 for nothing (an assumption, but to my knowledge nothing) with no way for rebuttal discussion.
