Battle Armor Event Discussion

the concept is good, i realy like having a weapon when landing. In the past i have died so many times because i was unable to find a weapon.

tho the armor needs a change, it needs evo shield.

All gun fights are too easy and short now, in 5min 60% of al squads are wiped out already.

it does not matter how much damage u done or how many kills uve done. In end game u die just as easy as people who have been camping the whole game to get to top5.

conclusion:

Reward damage done with an evo shield and i think uve got a good concept.

Please dont make this permanent in the game. The challenge to win the fight off the drop is what makes me jump right into the next game. I know it is upsetting to some to get melted be a L Star right when you just get a P2020 but that's the breaks of the game. It's great drama as is and I would not like to see this change to an already amazing game. Thanks.

Yeah. Making this a permanent addition (as a replacement of current matchmaking) would honestly take away the encouragement to play the game.

Right now with only Melee, you at least have a chance to get away or get yourself some loot in peace if you so happen to drop into a busy area or just drop anywhere with another team. With a P2020 or any other weapon equipped, you really just have to land with someone else, and they see it as a direct opportunity to eliminate your team, which wouldn't just be frustrating, but very discouraging.

And no, this isn't a good thing. True, the chances are equalized, but this mechanic would only encourage hunters to amplify their hunt. And that would ruin the experience for both new players and less skilled players, which in turn would decrease the amount of players playing this game.

And I know there are people saying this mode is awesome, this mode requires skill from the get go. But not everyone enters this game with skill, let alone knowledge. In other words, the enjoyment wouldn't be mutual for everyone involved.

I like this LTM and hope to see it as permanent with the Evo shield. It helps build confidence to those who are new and want to play this awesome game! 

Other issues is respawning with a P2020 but zero ammo. Reduce the spawn rating of P2020s if permanent. I don't want to pickup another p2020 when I land. 

Spawn us with 2 shield cells. This is major for EVO event.

I do more damage and the EVO will be more rewarding when it happens. There's less healing with lvl 1 armor and people dying too fast. Round 1 ends with like less than 6 squads.

I won games with less than or between 200-400 damage with like 1-5 kills. Timer be like less that 11 minutes.  

@Leo_the_Lion25It’s almost over... you could tell that they just did the bare minimum cause like you said, matches are done very fast. They’re like my fastest wins (between 8-12 minutes) on average, and I only played like 15-25 matches in total (which isn’t much in 4 days... heck not even in 1 day).

Spawning with no shields... meh it’s weird but not necessary for this but def is for purple & evo...

Storm needs to come faster cause at end of first storm it’s usually 3-6 squads in such a big area that it’s absurd... luckily they’re usually aggressive.

but as we know from previous events... they dont update. But this is an evo(lving) kind so here’s hoping. 

@EA_KentI’ve enjoyed it. I’m still in the “grab gun” mode, I’m trying to adjust to shooting people immediately on drop. I’m also seeing a lot more P2020 in regular duos and trios modes.

I think people have discovered the P2020 is not terrible with hammer points and a mag. It should be interesting to see if the Apex communities aim improves, I have a feeling it will as the P2020 requires accuracy.

I like the white shield start. But don’t want to see anything above that. I feel if we give everyone an Evo it will make blue armor obsolete. If that’s done people who land in medium/high traffic areas and survive the initial fight will have purple armor right away.

I feel like earning top notch loot throughout the match is part of what makes apex apex. Whether it’s achieved through endless looting or killing squads and taking their loot. The drive for better loot pushes people to fight for that loot or take risks looking for it. I don’t want to see that diluted.

Thought I would love the event, but in the end it only exposes how worthless the SBMM algorithm is, as I watch tryhard after tryhard snipe me to death with a pistol that in the hands of a sub-par player like me has generally lower DPS than just punching someone.Can't name a single game I've played in the format where the start was anything other than a stress fest.

Personally so far, I like the level 2 armor event.. I think evo would be okay, but sort of promotes camping a building and poking. Level 2 seems like a happy balance and it takes away the stress of finding armor, sort of like a happy medium..
