@apjj big difference in, "I'm playing poorly" and, "Why are these people on my team?"
I want to improve at the game, any chance I get, I admit to mistakes. I messed up looting this, I whiffed my shots here, I didn't react fast enough here.
There's no improvement for, "I am once again 1v3 because my teammates can't deal more than 200 damage combined while I sit here with 600 damage."
Queuing solo is a nightmare. Someone documented their experience queuing solo for 50 games and compared it to their games with their friend. Spoiler alert, queuing solo is garbage.

@E9ine_AC Anyone can solo queue from Bronze to Plat easily, as long as they've got more than a few braincells knocking around in their noggin. It's getting out of Plat solo that's challenging I think.
Back during the first ranked season, I hit Plat within a day as well, but once I hit Plat, every single teammate I got paired up with played about as well as the Bronze players I faced off against initially. No aim, no skill, all they want to do is sit in a corner for 15 minutes and hide. It was pathetic.
I feel like winning a match should award you points, but you shouldn't be awarded for placement at all, AND you should be able to be demoted from all ranks except Masters. Kills should have their point limit removed and be awarded to the player who did the highest damage to a target regardless of if they heal or not.
