@Fr3dY2I don't know, I find it easier to start right away as the noobs tend to fill the lower ranks more often and thus lets you go up faster.
Once things settle more, that's when it can be a mix of easy games or very comp games where the enemy is just as skilled as you.
What noobs? At the beginning of season, they'll be the same ones playing with/against you in a current-season ranked match at this moment. if you're in a high rank, I don't think you'll find noos there.
But players will play, rank up and recover their "fair" level - less-skilled players will fill those spots by ranking up from below.
So, if you just wait, you'll be avoiding playing a S3-ranked game as you would at this very moment - keeping it for later could "yield a high probability of success" as Caustic would say.
Anyway, it was just a silly thought 😃

@Fr3dY2 More so, they'll filter themselves out quick or you can be carried by a squad of 2 to higher ranks.
Kinda like a rush of water. Do you want to climb fast or wait and have it take longer?
Personally I've been able to tackle it this way and make my way up with Randoms who have brains (because ya can't be P/D without a brain) and thus land myself a spot up high with only a little work left before I get back into my position.
This is with the thought of queuing solo, if you have a squad of 3 where you all were Gold before, GG and GL friends...
