Botched callouts

I'm curious to hear other people's botched or mispronounced callouts.

Last night, I was playing a little bit with one of my good friends. We were in a battle on KC, and I knocked an Octane on the enemy team. I hastily called this out, so my team was aware, but in trying to say "Octane's knocked", I ended up saying "Knocktane's Ocked", switching the first syllables around on accident. I do this kind of stuff frequently, and have had some pretty hilarious ones over the years, so I'm curious what other people have said as callouts, when attempting to make an actual callout. (Stay within forum rules, obviously, I know voice comms can get pretty rough)

  • One of my playing buds is hearing impaired just a bit.  IIRC at the time he was using his TV sound instead of a headset, which sure didn't help.  We were going north from Cascade, I went up a zip and found a full team at the top waiting.  I dropped right quick and told him "DON'T go up the zip, there's a full team there!!"  So he immediately takes the zip and throws the game for us.

    @pandareno1999 Ohhh, those ones suck! I've had a couple similar instances, where the first, CRUCIAL, word of a callout is not heard/picked up by the mic, Lmao!

    Not exactly on your topic, but close, and a funny story I like to retell.

    I was playing with randoms on WE, no mic.  I was knocked at the bottom of one of the elevator shafts in construction.  My team mate came up to me and I made an enemy ping at the top story.  He threw a frag grenade up to the top and immediately took the zipliine.  I think you can guess the result.

  • @dSKyNafinchin I think in those kind of heated and hairy circumstances the brain tries to get the message across as succinctly and as quickly as possible. "Knocktane's Ocked" is easier to say and anyone paying attention would immediately know what the message is.

    I've hit that age where more and more frequently it takes time to think of the word that I want. Which is a problem in a game where things happen in fractions of a second. Thankfully swearing seems to be completely uneffected.

    @pandareno1999 Now THAT'S hilarious!!

    @RaisinFlakes Most definitely! They knew exactly what I meant, and it gave us all a good laugh XD

    @hayhor I'm terrible about that, especially with irons or a 1x sight. I have a hard time telling Legends apart, from a distance. "Cracked Blood... Oct... Re... cracked SOMEONE over there!!"

    @MyName1sNotJohn That's golden!! Permission to steal this?

    @reconzero. Yea, that's why I'm always in party chat, Lmao! I don't say anything racist or anything like that, but I swear like a sailor when I'm gaming, and I don't want to get banned for dropping f-bombs, so I just avoid open comms
