@MandatoryIDtag I'm a Rampart main, and I must admit, I have mixed feelings about Rampart getting more popular. I have gotten used to being able to select her as character with little resistance.
Anyway, the best thing I can tell you is Rampart is a high intelligence character. Most Ramparts I've played with are laughably horrible because they try to play with Rampart like you play with the original Wraith. Rampart isn't a reactionary player, she is a player you have to think many steps ahead in order to be truly great with. Her shields not only come up slowly (sadly much faster than they used to come up), but they seem to do explosive damage to you if someone blows one up before it comes up all the way, and you are right next to it.
You have to think about where you might need a shield before you need it there because if someone is shooting at you, then it's too late.
And Shelia is one of the best Ults in the game...if you know how to use her.
Rampart has issues and she could definitely use some buffs. Simple things like notification when someone breaks her wall like Caustic gets when someone sets off his gas would go a long way. Rampart's issue is that she can't use her ult and run like most characters, she has to put herself in harms way to use her ult, and you actually need skill to use it. Caustic, Gibraltar, Bang, and Horizon can throw their ults, then sit back and watch. You actually have to be able to shoot Sheila for her to be effective. But once you are able to control Sheila, you can completely lock an area down. Getting kills with Sheila is probably my favorite thing to do in the game.
