Can Respawn or EA return to The Mill studio for their VFX work?
The Mill studios made much more memorable and story driven trailers compared to Psyop’s current work. I do not have any authority speaking about VFX or how studio collaborations work, so I won’t pretend I have knowledge about this. I also am not going to assume they ended their partnership with the Mill to be cheap and save money after they were purchased by EA, although this may be likely. The cinematics made by the Mill felt better paced and the characters felt more alive and natural. The first thing that comes to mind with this criticism of Psyop is the famous Lifeline drumming image from the season 11 trailer, but that was a one off thing it seems, and im not trying cancel a studio from a couple bad frames possibly made while working from home. Does anyone else agree with me that they should return to The Mill? I think the assumed extra VFX cost for Respawn would be worthwhile. Let me know if you agree or think I’m completely wrong 🙂
