The amount of games where I am mown down in literally a quarter of a second is worrying, I am an older gamer and struggling with Apex. The amount of times either early, mid or late game that an enemy targets me then before I can even react my sometimes even purple armour and health are gone in less than a heartbeat.
I just dont understand when it takes me AGES of constant hitting of someone to even get a kill my side.

Headshots are almost essential for quick kills and 1vxing. Sometimes I do find the game has bad hit reg and it doesn't help but you should probably get into the habit of aiming for the head

It mostly depends of your positioning/cover, movement,opponents aim, them weapons and how much people shoot at you.
If you're caught off guard, out of cover while looting by a coordinated decent team with bursty weapons, you won't have time to react.
Awareness, positioning and reactivity are the key.
It has to do with lag compensation and latancy. I suggest you Google a video about it because its complicated to explain.
This game is sub par for netcode. Unacceptable when a large degree of outcomes are due to how poor it is.
Its what you get with this many players in one game. Look at BF its just as bad with 64 players.
I have a bad connection, DSL with 100-105ms ping when working fine... at night, most times I'm not even able to play due to latency - poor connectivty.
@Momosan_UK2, do you also have a bad network connection? I just moved to an area where fiber optic is still being deployed, maybe this is why I'm now way worse than before in FPS games (that's good, I thought I was just gettin' old) :D
I've experienced the same exact thing. I have games like the other day where I have Purpler armor and the other guy has blue. I had the level 1 extended light mag. R301 full clip in the Gibraltars back. Didn't miss a shot. He turns around and kills me before I finish my reload. Crap like that happens every now and then. It is frustrating. I've had it happen the other way around 2 or 3 times. Felt like I was cheating. I was melting people with the Havoc half way across the map. I was like how did I just kill that guy. Have games where the hit reg and ttk seems perfect. I actually can react and have counter play before they kill me. Then other times there is 0 I could do in that situation to stay alive. I've had people kill me on wraith that I hit her ability right as they first shot me and I'm dead before I phase.
