I wasn't fond at first.
Seemed not good for smaller legends. Seemed ideal for fatboiz.
Also seemed annoying you'd have to buff it and them shield use to get it to its level.
But have got lucky with it a few times.
I tend to play honest with it, but i notice some people spam snipers to boost it. Then you can ditch the sniper or keep.
I have no issues with it at all. But it shouldn't be how it is now - level up evo shield still need to heal up. Evo shield is not op and worth of using only if it's not lower than purple. Usually I level up it just for fun. Golden armor still way way way way way better than EVO shield max level.
@DarthValtrex it favours players who have the skill and patience to invest it in.
You're an above average player so you would fall into this category. Try sniping it to blue then playing as usual? Just a suggestion but it does work for me.
@MandatoryIDtag it favors players
who have the skill and patiencewho pick up Charge Rifle's G7 Scout and Triple Take.Have fun getting grieved from 6 angles wherever you fight. Third partying just got a whole lot worse with this in the game.

Remember not everybody wants to run around with a r99/wingman every game lol.
- @DarthValtrex I liked the idea of the evo shield when it was first announced, when playing it i hated using it because it was slow to upgrade, especially from blue to purple, but after it was added into the game currently, I realised the shield isn't overpowered, at white its 25 shield, blue its 50, purple it goes to a normal purple shield, and at red you get the extra shield bar, but you do lose out on the quick shielding, I think that right there makes it balanced. because it takes a while to shield up and level up. I prefer to level it up with any gun too, so it doesn't really matter which gun you use. (yes even a mozambique lol)
@MoNosDirtyGaming Yup, you've hit the nail on the head to be honest. Like you said it really doesn't matter which gun you use to level it, i just suggested snipers as it gives you a little more room for error initially.
- @MandatoryIDtag Until you see a pathfinder grappling towards you LOL
@MoNosDirtyGaming Lmao, yeah well we can never control every situation...too many variables, doesn't mean we can't up our odds though. :D
@MandatoryIDtagagreed, I always swap it out now if were still at start-midgame even for a lvl 3.
This allows for my team to be better equipped as I hand over a lvl3 shield and boost my lvl1 to lvl4 (most of the time) before end game.
You do have to be a bit agro with it to maximize it quickly but that's whats fun about it and very rewarding once you hit that red.EDIT
I tend to run R-99/Prowler an an AR, I never use snipers with it as it takes longer than I'd like it to to reach lvl4.
