I tried that and there was not option for it. I went to the bottom right of the screen where the cogwheel is and on the Gameplay tab, I scrolled down and from the video that I saw, the crossplay option was under "Usage sharing" but instead is shows "Performace Display" and this is on Steam PC.
@mikeauxyujI had this same issue, my friend is a college student I share my house with and he plays on PS4. I am running a Linux PC on Steam and he told me last month about the game he was playing, it looked like fun, so I decided to join him. For the full first week we could never find each other and yes, we did the suggested text by @EA_Lanna. I ticked all those boxes.
By some unknown "miracle" he was playing with another PS4 player and we asked that player to add me as a friend. He found me and once that happened we could swap spit. I still feel this is a very unresolved issue. When I am playing without the 2 PS4 friends I have now, I get teamed up with PC only PUGs. I don't know how the crossplay fails to see some and yet others in the game can add you. Crossplay might be active, but it is discriminating other players.
Here is a link the the old thread about this same issue now 1 month old. EA_Mako told me the older thread was "too old" and locked it down. I really wish you guys (moderators) would merge the threads instead of marking it solved. It is not a good practice to ignore an ongoing problem and hoping it will just go away. It seems to me, the only current solution is a work around. You will need to find someone on the PSN or XBox and having them seek you out.
