Can't gift to my cousin, been gaming together for years

For absolutely no reason I cannot gift anything to my cousin, we have been gaming together for years and have been friends for just as long on xbox and I've tried double checking we are friends on EA...

@CravenLuke63 The gifting feature been broken for while, I assumed it was a well known amongst the playerbase, but I guess Respawn keeps advertising it ?
