Banned account for a stupid thing. HELP
Hello,
I wasn’t sure which forum section this belonged in, so I decided to post it here since the main account I care about is my Apex account.
Around three years ago, my main EA account was banned because of something I said in Battlefield 4. At the time, I was playing with a close friend, and we were the only two people in our squad chat. We were driving a jeep, and he intentionally drove me off the map as a joke — a common trolling thing people do in Battlefield games. In response, I typed, “you must be R-worded xD.”
I understand that using language like that was inappropriate, and I’m not trying to excuse it. However, I never intended to genuinely offend or attack anyone. It was a private exchange between me and a close friend, and the comment was made jokingly in that context.
Since 2023, I’ve submitted multiple appeals in hopes of having the ban reconsidered, but I have never received a response from an actual person. Every reply has appeared to be automated, stating that “the decision will not be reverted” and that I should not contact support again because no further replies would be sent. However, each time I submitted another appeal, I still received the same automated response again.
What also makes this situation difficult to understand is that many Apex streamers and professional players openly use the same word on stream or in-game chat on a regular basis without seemingly facing similar consequences. I’m not bringing this up to justify what I said, but rather to explain why the punishment feels inconsistent from my perspective.
I fully understand that my comment was immature and against the rules, but after several years, I’m simply hoping for a genuine review of the situation by a real person rather than repeated automated messages.
TL;DR: I was banned around 3 years ago for an inappropriate joke made privately to a friend in Battlefield 4. I understand the language was wrong, but I never intended harm, and after years of automated replies, I’m asking for an actual human review of my appeal.
