So according to Dexerto, Respawn have confirmed a caustic nerf is coming and some person has suggested removing damage from his gas traps!?!?Like seriously WTAF??!! He already got a nerf with removing the blurred vision! His passive ability is now pointless after the blurred vision was removed so next let's make his tactical ability useless as well. So he's gonna be left with his ultimate only then? What's the point in having the character if he has no abilities and is big and slow???I'm so glad I didn't buy his heirloom because otherwise I would be raging!!!

I mean what's the point of having "gas traps" if they don't deal damage? It'd become the same q as Bangalore's one, just green smoke instead of grey lmao. If they do that it'd be probably the dumbest idea in ages.

I gave this some thought and I do see some no damage tactical gas versions with good potential. Don't be too quick to dismiss changes, keep your mind open.

@Daze623 I played apex due to the combination of the ttk and abilities. Removing the abilities would wreck the game. People like to claim there shouldnt be abilities but I guarentee they use them when they play.

@hayhor They need to just stop with the nerfs. Stop listening only to top streamers as if the player base does not matter but they do. They get sick of being gassed all time. They make a post and boom changes are being done. Its a horrible business model imo to only listen to one genre of gamers on their game.Instead lets nerf played legends and not buff the legends who are hardly touched.

@Marge010 The article quotes an idea a streamer had which would not work. They will never remove the damage the gas produces.

He most defo doesn't need a nerf so I hope it's a troll post suggestion as someone has stated, personally though I think they should make his gas flammable so in effect his counter would be fuse or anyone that carries a thermite, so teams that camp in his ult or are effectively too close to his gas when it's ignited take damage, it doesn't have to be extremely high dmg like an actual thermite but even a small equivalent and once the burn phase is finished the gas is dissipated. But idk, this might make him too inadequate as the chances are pretty high someone would have a thermite or Fuse and ruin his gas daddy flair.

@Marge010 Honestly they should just take away all skills from the game already and make it a pure shooter game. When will people understand that I played Apex because I wanted to play PUBG and not Overwatch?!

@DoYaSeeMe If they take away barrel gas damage they would have to revert previous nerfs. Barrels would need instant setup without being able to be shot down so you could chuck them thru windows and further at enemies. They would need to also decrease the tactical time and allow a new barrel if any are set off or deleted instantly. And remove opponents ability to see inside the gas.
