Whichever team won the ranked game should be given max KP or at least +3 KP. Sometimes it’s frustrating that you didn’t get the last 2 assists/kills even if you win. This would also promote placement rather than kills. Any downsides to this idea? The only thing I could think of is prioritizing placement more will promote ratting in rank more if you think that’s bad.
Winning is winning.
Pressing forward on your joystick and running through the open is not smarter or cooler or more fun than someone who plays less dumb.
I don't know if I'm for the change but if you won, you won, there's no 'better' way to win other than a fantasy in someone's mind.
My big beef isn't with Champion scoring though. Mine is that you can score 6th in Platinum or 5th in Diamond and you can net lose points. It isn't even about 6th or 5th, because you can get kills, and get 10th or 9th, beating over 1/2 the teams in the game, and still lose points. That is super stupid.
Killing and placing both count, but they don't count for enough. Less massive points should be going to the Champion and the rest spread out among the top 10. I mean, if you get 10th maybe you should get like just 1 point, but it should be positive. You're not awesome for being a Champion in a BR in my mind, more often than not, part of your success was luck, and that the teams were whittled down by the time you got there. Unless, you know, you're scoring 20+ kills
@Cheese9Man I don't think it'd incentivize passive gameplay that much, but if it does that i'm all in for it. Every time i get a ranked game with 5+ teams alive in last 2 zones is so satisfying to play.
When it comes down to 5 ish teams in the final ring (the zero ring), I have to say, I'm all about the wingman and gold scope.
its good feeling when you win a hard game, but placing and "ratting" whole game to win for most points without actually doing anything besides positioning, nahhh
@Cheese9Man it is a strange thing all right where you could win and be nowhere near max available game points. Only way to overcone it is to make a win plus 20 points above the max points available between kills and placement, leaving the rest of the points structure alone.
@tv2Demi_ I disagree, getting high placement points can be exhilarating and really get the heart going. Esp as I am not looking for content! Come find me 😃
