I think we might have another Sheila Rampart situation where it’s hard to balance a legend’s ultimate which is a gun. If I were Respawn, I would do a “wait and see” approach until the hype dies down.
The tactical and passive are actually balanced in my opinion and the ult that might need a little bit of tweaking.
@Cheese9Man I played Vantage the first couple days, since I had a 5k dmg challenge for her. One thing I noticed right off the bat, is that her tactical cooldown could use a slight nerf, in my opinion. I felt like I had an Octane pad every 20 seconds or so, Lol. I had a lot of fun using her for a couple days though! Got some good matches and wins in, and just had fun with her kit in general. Definitely not replacing my beloved Pathy, but still another fun Legend for me to use for challenges and whatnot.
Tactical definitely needs a nerf, 20 secs is too low for selfish jumpad and their is something busted found with it every couple of days "Ignoring charge mechanic, the movement tech. with similarity to monkey snipers proposed tactical ability - that devs rejected", the other tech. that heal cancels and the portable heat shield that can combo with ult." I'm already annoyed that devs keep cramming movement down our throats and it's not helping that this one can do more than the intended idea. I'm mostly fine with ult "imo really ridiculous that people want another sniper's damage nerfed and this one has a laser sight so you know to go in cover, I admit I was concerned before she came about it, but 50 to 100 is doable" but the bullet drop does need a change, it's at a higher base than every other sniper in game.
Didn't feel threatened by Vantage all that much in gold, reached P4 and often getting two tapped off the get go. It's only a matter of time before players start realizing how good she is.
