Changes to ranked mode

I agree that ranked has it's issues. All the points you make are legitimate. I think that for starters, increasing the barrier to entry in ranked by a lot would make ranked a bit less frustrating, especially at lower ranks. It, also would also discourage smurfing, and cheating in ranked, because if a player has to reach a high level (say 300 for sake of example) well that is going to take a few days at least, and it would deny the insta gratification of reaching a high rank by cheating or smiting less experienced players.
Then there is the fact that, imo, Apex wants first and foremost be a casual game, even in ranked. Ant that, again imo, would explain why servers are not updated, why re-balancing weapon takes a long time, why hit registration and audio issues are nor really resolved etc.
