Do I need to be inside the dome for it to count? Does later rings give more points? And why is the amount required so high?! 5000?! just to put into perspective I used 4 heat shields and stayed ins...

@Daze623 I think the more dmg it gives, more points you get.
- @BaldWraithSimp dude that sucks cause through out the whole game's life you've been taught to get inside the ring as early as possible.
- @Daze623 They disabled heat shield in ranked so I can't even do this challenge. I am not touching pubs with that stupid Maggie in my ears 😶

Yeah, it's a bit weird.
Majority of the time I've played Apex: "Get inside the Ring! If you don't, you'll die!"
New LTM comes along: "Hey, man, come and chill outside the ring. Pop a heat shield and relax for a while. Can I get you something to drink? How would you like your burger? Hey, did you try the potato salad my wife made? How's work going? The kids doing well?"
LolTrust me, this challenge is infuriating.
The trick is to use them on the 4th ring, you waste a lot less time, but it's a horribly high goal tbh - if you play with a team, they're going to hate you for hanging back to farm heat shield points and if you're solo, you usually can't make it to the 4th round and stay in a heat shield without 3 squads rushing you I stg.
I'd understand if there was more time to do the challenge, but 5k shield damage in 2 weeks? I'm a student and still don't have enough time to farm it!
