Video games have always been where most cyber criminals get their start. At one point police departments use to warn parents about Quake turning kids into criminal hackers...lol  And alot of the most famous hackers did actually start there.

Interesting, I thought most hackers would have started with cybersecurity where they teach you how people try to stop hackers.  You know like how burglars work for the burglar alarm company.

Your statements seem contradicting.  Its more like the latter.   More like the  government and security firms hire former criminals partly to keep them on their side and not the others.  And partly because they are more experienced.  The ones that rely more on standard certs pay the price.  Especially in such a rapidly ever changing environment.

And lets face it we are talking about the malicious ones from modern times.  They start at real young age.  Some 9 years old.  Some turn good or give up their ways some become career criminals.
