Well, I don't know about these changes, maybe. But I play a lot of ranked and lately I've played it solo because I don't want to subject my friends to the things I do in ranked.
But I abandon games regularly and frequently. It's really a bonus when you consider the alternative to playing with some teams. Abandoning games has kept me playing long enough to find the good games that are worth sticking through with pugs. I definitely recommend it more.
- @soccerking122 I remember a similar thread in the past and I’m all for it, BUT to quote you “right now, solo queuing ranked is a real challenge”. Isn’t this why you do it? xD To get a challenge?!
I’m just busting your ballz with the above tho, but to come back to the real topic, it’s a good idea, but not so much. If you solo-que, ranked from plat can/will be hard. If you premade and you’re all plat/diamond material, it’ll be brutal.
Just like with pubs, ranked gets harder in premade from what I saw last season. So I’m all for the discount in solo-que, but just know, premade isn’t all that better. The only thing that gets better is coordination - @soccerking122 Umm, I disagree. The problem with solo queuing comes from the players, most of them don't want to put the extra effort in communication and teamwork. It would be unfair to award them with more RP. Also, a lot of players would exploit this in every way possible.
- @soccerking122 Honestly, at the end if you reach where you belong you don't really need anything extra. Oh and plz, let's not make it more easy to reach Plat xD
Only thing I would ask the devs to better the experience is not put Lvl 60 Gold players on my team when I have already grinded to Plat I. They play recklessly/can't keep up, and that's my only pet peeve. @DoYaSeeMe premades gain an exp bonus it could be argued that isn't fair. *shrugs*
I do agree though, I'm not sure this is a step in the right direction. It seems like the only way to get people to play as a cohesive squad is to reward players directly for it. Y'know because winning a match apperently isn't incentive enough. 😛
- @KelRiever I tried a few ranked games last night. One game the guy was toxic right in the ship and then continued as we looted sorting. So I dropped all my stuff and used the geyser to get to lava, stood in it and died. lol

@soccerking122I disagree. Solo queue is the risk you take when solo queueing. I doubt the game will cater to people who refuse to make friends in a 2 year old game to have a solid team. When solo people are handed not so great teammates that is on the solo person. This is why people 3 stack in the most important game mode in this game. So I dont think anyone deserves extra no matter solo or teamed.
I'd like to add im a solo queue person myself and even I dont want advantages because i refuse to go into ranked with a team.
