I give up game is a joke my teammates every game are below level 50 and have less than 100 damage while I have 2K+.every match. This game is the farthest thing from skilled based matchmaking that I have ever seen. Skilled based matchmaking should start with the teammate you get. I get level 30 with 20 kills and the champion squad is 2 apex predators. Can only 1vs2 every squad for so long getting constantly third fourth and fifth partied. I’ll be back when you add solos which have been asked for since launch.

Seems like new players win once and they're just chucked in the deep end.I don't know about everyone else but i would happily wait a bit longer to join a match if i knew the entire lobby was roughly the same skill level...my team included.

@PROInD3 I get what tou're saying but it really is besides the point.Respawn introduced SBMM to make for a fairer gaming experience in public lobbies. On paper that's great and i'm all for it. In reality it just equates to anybody who's half decent and solo queueing essentially being punished for having any skill by being forced to carry sub par teammates every damn game.It either needs to be truly balanced or outright removed. I can think of no other game with SBMM that feels as heavily tilted as this game on such a consistent level.

@Jem450R That doesn't work either. I'm 12k kills soloing diamond teamed with a level 87 (first acc) gold 2 with 20 kills and his friend in plat has 40kills on his wraith main. Not similar skill level and a pretty frequent occurrence.I agree with @MandatoryIDtag would much prefer to wait a little longer to have more competent players in my team, ranked or otherwise.Without getting to much into the SBMM argument, in theory I think we should have SBMM but the way respawn have it implemented clearly shows it doesn't work so have pre and post level 500 lobbies with algorithm to detect smurfs. If they get to 500 and still can't reasonably handle themselves then imo they deserve to die more often and reward those that get better instead of punishing them.

@Jem450R Have you played ranked? It's just public lobbies with points to grind. XD

@SlivPTS SBMM is definitely there,it's just about as much use as a paraplegic in a game of twister.

Agreed I would 100% rather wait a little longer for a balanced game than to rush into an unbalanced match!

So... you want ranked...? People matched upon skill level.... go play ranked lol

They have already said there is skill based matchmaking in pubs but it doesn’t work correctly as they don’t match your teammates correctly.

The matchmaking in this game is definitely not that great, hopefully will improve.
Regardless, it looks like you won't be coming back at all since solos is never going to be permanently added, as the devs have said many times.

@apostolateofDOOM If you are in a premade squad, which those two seemed to be, that premade goes to the highest level.

@hayhor A gold and plat team shouldn't be placed with a diamond.

Having it go to the highest level is fine when there is 1 rank difference but not above and below mixing across 3 brackets as it goes against the whole point of playing with a similar skill level and this is the good majority of games.
