You can't be a real anime watcher & not have heard of this movie lol. Even though I didn't like it every anime person should watch it at least once. I watched it on Netflix or Hulu.
@EA_DavidI posted this in another thread lol
@EA_David I'll deffo check it out...just googled it and it sounds interesting.
@Lord_Scorpion34 it came out the year I was born....possibly why I missed it lol. XD

Thats no excuse! You were born so you couldโve watched it in the same year!
- Lord_Scorpion345 years agoLegend@MandatoryIDtag That's a lame excuse lol. I've seen plenty of movies that came out before I was born lol. It's ok tho. At least you know now lol.

@Lord_Scorpion34 haven't seen Princess mononoke but the other 2 aye. ๐
- Lord_Scorpion345 years agoLegend@MandatoryIDtag Princess Mononoke was big because they had big name actors do the dub.
- 5 years ago@Lord_Scorpion34 oh boi... the dub... not sure how many of you outside Italy are aware, but I heard about Princess Mononoke because of all the memes about the italian adaption being trash (which it is) Like trashy trash. The poor dubbers had to work with atrocious texts. And not just Princess Mononoke, but also other Studio Ghibli works. We simply had to put JAP/ENG subtitles to understand anything because that italian was simply not italian.
How they haven't fired the adaptor already is beyond me. Sad story we have to endure. - Lord_Scorpion345 years agoLegend@AcidicSoda44031 Yeah I never heard about that lol. I've wanted to visit & learn Italy but hasn't happened yet.

@Lord_Scorpion34 ok let me explain real quick: Studio Ghibli animes, along with Evangelion on Netflix, were adapted by Gualtiero Cannarsi. This man is well known over here for his unique way of adapting, that is, he just uses over complicated words no one uses, erronous syntax, etc... he just distorts the italian language all for the sake of being "faithful" to the original japanese counterpart, word for word. And this just resulted in hard-to follow dialogues and let me tell you, it is just icomprehensible gibberish to us.
Evangelion's dub was pulled from Netflix due to the numerous complaints. Even the dubbers themselves were embarassed, but its not their fault. Luckily it was reworked and reinstated at a later date.
I 100% guarantee you that no one in Italy speaks like this man adapts. Literally no one. I challenge you to find 1 single person that speaks like that. You can't.
Trust me, you are much more likely to find someone who still speaks Latin. Also you are much more likely to find some Aztec stripper Gods sleeping under the Colosseum... and that says it all! - OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@AcidicSoda44031 well now, amo amas amat ๐
(I was taught it in school)
- 5 years ago@OldTreeCreeper I never heard about that. But I can tell you I immediately recognized what it means.
- Lord_Scorpion345 years agoLegend@OldTreeCreeper What's amat?
Somebody say aztec strippers?
@Lord_Scorpion34 Amo amat- he,she or it loves
- OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@MandatoryIDtag lol he said "Aztec stripper Gods sleeping under the Colosseum" thus the tongue in cheek Latin ๐
those Romans were divils (In an Irish sense) ๐ฅณ
All together now: (pronounced phonetically)
amo amas amat
amamus amatis amat
amo - I love
amas - You love
amat - He, She, or It loves
amamus - We love
amatis - You (plural) love
amat - They loveAnd now the all important count from 1 to 10 ๐
I 1 unus
II 2 duo
III 3 tres
IV 4 quattor
V 5 quinque
VI 6 sex
VII 7 septem
VIII 8 octo
IX 9 novem
X 10 decem
Speaking of movies, at the end of movies, (films here) you will see the year the film was made in roman numerals,
Ie 2021 MMXX1 (M is a thousand)

@OldTreeCreeper I just focused on the most intriguing part of the sentence. ;p
- OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@MandatoryIDtag I focused on the whole intriguing sentence ๐
- hayhor5 years agoHero@Lord_Scorpion34 A mat can be one of two things- The small rectangular floor thing by the door to welcome people and wipe your feet or a person named Matt who is a hipster and uses one t.
- 5 years ago@MandatoryIDtag yeah. Its a JoJo reference lol
@OldTreeCreeper exactly that. I recognized it because those words still exist in italian, although a little bit different at the end. - Lord_Scorpion345 years agoLegend
@AcidicSoda44031I recognized the words because of Spanish which is a Latin language like Portuguese & French. It's why many in Brazil also speak Spanish because it's easy to pick up & even if they can't if they speak slowly enough they can get the gist of what each other are saying.
But French is like in left field compared to other Latin based languages lol.@MandatoryIDtagyou don't want Aztec strippers they'll end up sacrificing you to Ogre ๐

@Lord_Scorpion34 Probs...especially since I don't carry cash. ๐
- 5 years ago@Lord_Scorpion34 written french, I get like 80-90% of the text. Spoken french, I can't understand a single word.
