Crates, walls, and doors

I realize that realistically a machine gun bullet would definitely pierce a wall or crate if one were shot through it in real life, but I wish they would change them back to absorbing shots so we can...

Is this a Switch thing? I never heard of being able to shoot through crates, and it isn't as if I'm one of those players who never needs cover.

@reconzeroIt might be since I haven't compared other versions. As of season 20 I haven't been able to be saved by taking cover, even shutting doors in front of me I still get hit, ducking behind crates I've still taken shots from the front. I didn't know other systems haven't experienced it, but other switch players on my Nintendo friends list have noticed it too.

I wanted to add, this isn't from players cheating because it happens when the firing range dummies are in combat mode too. So I thought it was part of the updates that bullets would now go through objects to make it more realistic.
