Customer Support's Still Awful.

Absolutely the worst customer service. It's ridiculous.
Was 'sanctioned' for swearing once several months ago.
No clue what this means. I think it's meant to be a ban? Like, for my entire account?
But funny enough, I'm not banned as of yet and can play just fine.
I try to change my Amazon Prime account that's linked to my EA account, no dice. Not allowed.
So I contact Customer Support to try to see if there's any way to do that.
Suddenly I'm informed of a 'sanction' and that I can't do anything until it's lifted.
They send me an automated email saying it's been reviewed and whatever and that it's a fair sanction that will stay.
All I said to receive said sanction was 'f off' but.. fully.
Amazing. That's what you get for spending money on EA. Been here since Season 2 and that's what I get.
Even more funny, nowhere in their ToS does it say anything about swearing. There are absolutely no filters and they labelled my message as 'harassment'
Crazy.. they won't take action against cheaters but they care if you swear to the point they supposedly permanently ban you from their game with no warning.

I contact support to change my Amazon account only for them to completely disregard everything i've said, mention some sanction and then send me to the ToS team where they email me 1-2 days later with a 3 sentence email... love it.

I've also seen the responses their team gives here. Really cool. Good job guys.

Feel like sending a refund my way..? Cause it's blatantly obvious your customer support's not improving anytime soon.

Also, this was a "WARNING"

Suddenly, it's a "SANCTION"

What does this even mean? Why can't I just change my Amazon account and carry on?

It's beyond extra.

This includes disrupting the normal flow of game play, chat or dialogue within an EA Service by, for example, ***using vulgar or harassing language***, being abusive, excessive shouting (all caps), spamming, flooding or hitting the return key repeatedly.”

I understand your frustration but yes hidden under the seas of text they have a right to warn and ban for language. Safest thing is just do not use chat. I agree that they have double standards considering the content and languages in their games. But you just have to walk on eggshells. Mute everyone if you have to. Protect yourself.

Alright. Well if this was several months ago and my only single "warning" (they themselves said it was a warning)
How is this now a sanction, what IS a sanction, why is it so difficult for them to remove it , and why does this have to effect whether or not they'll help me at all with anything else, including changing prime accounts...

How should this even be possible for this to impact your Amazon Prime account?  Is that even legal to restrict access to something that has nothing to do with online gaming, or interaction with other people at all?

  • No idea. I kept stating over and over again to the support person i don't have any sort of 'sanction'
Literally all I have ever received was one singular warning. I still do not know what a sanction flipping is and they refused to answer me or any of my questions.

Support's just Grade A-Douchebags, it seems. This was months ago, as well when I was 'warned'.

I have no clue how the hell a 'warning' restricts me from changing my amazon account.

    EA is on another level.
