Forum Discussion
- 4 years ago@Systemexe20 This forums much better than Reddit n twitter. Many of guys here got different opinions but stayin positive about it. I have different opinion most of the time, but I chill here with almost everyone.
- 4 years ago@WreckingVi Begs the question, why don't they use EA Ahq?

I am withdrawing my previous opinion on this.
- hayhor4 years agoHero@WreckingVi Totally agree.

He lost the game
Also, is he a Dev? I thought Director of Communications is a corporate position? My idea of the job description is to "tell people to kick rocks without telling them to kick rocks." He is not doing his job here and I also doubt he personally has any idea about the technical problems Apex has - other than everyone is really busy and the work environment is not ideal. The last few days I haven't been getting disconnected so they might be doing something.

I'm probably gonna get some flak for this behind the scenes, so yeah if you're reading this, I'll be expecting the inbox message 😉.
A l ot of Gamers nowadays are a bunch of butthurt dweebs. They think it's funny to lash out at devs etc with abusive messages, and the moment there's a hint of retaliation they cry victim, and the rest of the playerbase rallies behind them as if there was a serious line crossed, it's pretty pathetic.
You dish it out, expect it back, idc whether or not it's deemed professional or not.

@MandatoryIDtag“Kick rocks” wasn’t all that bad tbh, but have you read the rest of it? Ryan claims victory, after the redditer deleted his comments and admitted he was in the wrong, not only does he keep at it on reddit, but drags it out on Twitter, was it really necessary?
@Gabrielmojo26 Nah that bit is just petty, he should have just took his victory like a champ and left it at what was said.
You've known me long enough to know I'm not some boot licker, I'm just tired of the attitude some of the gaming community has that's all.
Animosity between a development studio and its playerbase really doesn't benefit anyone.
- 4 years ago@MandatoryIDtag Devs can say whatever they want, but they should also expect those statements to have an impact on an already volatile player base.
Making fun of your players on a personal level, and then backing it up and digging in and attacking even more, isn't just about the words. It's basically telling the player base "the situation you're going through is humorous to me and I could honestly care less what you think."
One final distinction that should be made is that the player in question never @ the dev or told him to do something to himself directly. He was responding to/conversing with another player, not the dev. There is quite a significant difference.
It's like if the government were discussion sanctions against Amazon's workplace conditions and then Amazon's official twitter feed started making fun of their drivers having to pee in bottles.... oh, wait. Yeah, that turned out well.- 4 years ago
The level of entitlement the playerbase has nowadays is far too high. I think it needs to come crashing down asap, otherwise it will end up ruining all gaming. It's good that Ryan responded, he's human, not a machine. He can't just endlessly sweep the trash under the rug.

@Systemexe20 I don't think I have ever seen a dev on here. We have had mods post links to official news, but no real interaction or interest on an ongoing basis from devs. Some info posted may be considered of note and passed up the line.
I don't understand why this forum isn't used for that purpose, it is after all a resource, rather than twitter reddit etc which appears much more random to my eye.
It's a moderated forum so the devs have nothing to fear, unlike the aforementioned social media where they open them selves up to the world.
As far as I can see the people on here may not always agree but care deeply about the game, and come from a diverse set of backgrounds.
Without knowing the history of this particular outburst, imo if you are representing a business online then you should always maintain a certain amount of professional decorum, no matter what, or get offline. Business is not personal unless you make it so.
Ps I'd also improve the general discussion section by putting threads about a ban or being banned into their very own main section.
- 4 years ago@OldTreeCreeper Most are quite chill from what I seen.
I would much rather discuss with the devs here than on reddit. 💯- 4 years ago@Systemexe20 Agreed. The forum is a MUCH better place than reddit or twitter imo
