Diamond 3 to predators, will this ranked issue be fixed?

Hi! As some of you might know, the ranked system has been broken for a couple seasons already. The problem is simple, matchmaking is fair until you reach diamond 3. Once you're at that level, you will be matched with all the best players. That could range from pro league team squads to the best of the best twitch streamers. There unfortunately isn't any in-between which prevents some players to reach their normal rank. I myself was able to reach diamond 1 with mirage during the first couple seasons solo queuing. Now with a squad and using champions that are a lot more relevant, its just seemingly impossible to do the same again. I've discussed with countless diamond players who feel left out by the ranked system too. 

Is EA aware of the problem?
Will the system be reworked to fix the issue in a following season?
What does the community think?
What are your workarounds? (I read about switching servers from NA to EU but that seems counter productive as you will deal with higher latency)
