what you are seeing is the season 2 and 3 drive trails, these are permanent after that Respawn decided to make the trails seasonal.

I think the reason why and why not is because: Season 2 and 3 grandfathered trails, and it wouldn't be fair to remove them after so many people grinded for them (me included)

And as to why they are only seasonal: they said that it's to remove visual clutter, and also to keep you coming back to ranked. After all why would people want to grind all the way back to masters when they got their trail last season and would keep them forever?
