Did I do the right thing tonight when fixing a launch error?

I wanted to make sure I did the right thing when fixing a launch error tonight.  I had taken a week break from the game, and it was running fine for about a day, but when going back in tonight it said "launch error, please unload AsUpIO before starting the game."  I did a search on Google AI and it told me that this is an error caused by Easy Anti Cheat because the program mentioned can be exploited by cheats in Apex Legends, so it must be off while Apex is running.  It told me to press the windows key, select run as administrator, and in the command prompt type "sc stop AsUpIO" and hit Enter.  I did this and the game started up just fine without the launch error.

I wanted to make sure that I did the right thing and this won't mess my game or system up later or cause false positives.  Does this sound like the right thing to do?

The only thing that changed on my system during the last two times I ran apex was another game called "Neverness to Everness" did an installer update.  Could that have been what was using the conflicting program?
