@KelRiever We dont want COD/warzone TTK. That, the movement and hero abilities are what make apex, apex. The last thing we need is apex to become a game of hiding.
Aside from your devotion e9 you can’t separate your feelings so I’ll just disagree with you. I think you are part of the feelings problems and that’s why you can’t let it go.
Hayhor, I kind of do, frankly. This game is at squirt gun level and people play they way. It makes Halo seem deadly. I know no one will double the damage on the guns but the whining has overtaken any actual balance or challenge.
people can’t deal with that sometimes they get killed by someone better than them, and they blame the guns. Which isn’t surprising. What’s surprising is how much Apex rolls over every time.
- @KelRiever Well the majority wont. And I disagree apex has constantly rolled over making guns do less damage. Other than the mastiff which gones have they done this too? Cause guns like the sentinel they upped the damage. Others they made the recoil easier or harder depending on where they were at. Most guns I actually get why they made changes. The havoc is the only gun I do not understand.

There are many ways to measure skill. Lowering the time to kill will not separate the skilled from the unskilled, as you suggested. As you lower the time to kill, engagements move more towards “who shot first”. Now YOU might think thats the best measure of skill, but plenty of people feel like longer TTK is a better method of determining who is more skilled, as it requires players to land more shots.
It makes me think of SWAT from Halo. That mode was fun and nuts but I much preferred the MLG settings. I knew guys who had their 50 in Swat but couldn’t get 50’s in Team Slayer or MLG. In my opinion, a longer TTK (within reason) is a much better measure of overall skill for a shooter. - @KelRiever So a new player who drops on said gun and kills a pred on drop with 2 shots that happen to hit means they are better then the pred? Because out of 1 fight off drop they land on the best ground gun in the game means the new player was better? Good to know. lol
