It is frustrating sometimes I agree.
It seems that a lot of new players are attracted to ranked for some reason. I have great randoms and poor randoms but I just take the rough with the smooth. I can have games of poor luck and bad decisions (so I can be "that" random to sometimes lol).
If I get matched with a duo, I try really hard to interact and ping stuff and drop stuff they may need to gesture that I'm a team player. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Same as when I duo up, I always ping and always say thanks if the random pings or drop something for me. Just trying to develop trust.
I think a lot of players who have bad random experiences tend to think every random is the same so they think F you, I'm doing my own thing, at which point you know you are fighting a losing battle.
I always say thanks when they ping something I said before that I needed.
Basically I just go blank with every new team but I base their experience in first minute. If I see weird things, I’m basically writing that person off and usually I’m right. This can be for example that you say you need ammo cause you picked up the weapon and he the ammo but see that he has 2 weaps with different calibers and isn’t dropping the ammo or uses a tactical for no reason like a lifeline using drone with no enemies in sight
