Discussion of Apex tournaments

Hello, I would like to know about Apex tournaments. Will there be a tournament system similar to Fortnite (where you can register for any tournament and try to win it)? Obviously, measures to combat cheaters will need to be improved, but the question remains the same. I think the problem with low attendance in Apex is the lack of accessible tournaments, even with a prize pool of $1,000, because players are not interested in the fact that there is virtually no career ladder in Apex. Even if you are an experienced player and number 1 in the Predator rankings, you are unlikely to get into any tournament because Apex does not host them. The only way to get into a tournament is to be a media personality. 
So my question remains: will Apex implement any kind of tournament system?
