Do reports for sabotage result in any action?

Playing in Diamond ranked earlier, posted up in a building in final ring for a fight, newcastle throws down a wall so I throw down a Watson ult behind it and some fences to brace for the push. Random teammate decides he doesn't want to be in a building, punches both ults until broken and refuses to fight when pressed, instead typing taunts because we're playing defense. Teammate and I report him for sabotage https://omegle.onl/ https://vshare.onl/ .

What are the odds this results in any action being taken against this player?

Climbing rank is hard enough without teammates literally throwing the match.

  • @john098 probably not. Doesn't even seem like reports do anything. I've gotten one email back stating that action was taken on a cheater and that was when I had a random teammate who said he had a contact at Respawn and we both reported a cheater. All the other times that I've reported people who were blatantly cheating, I have never received an email back for action taken. They probably don't look at in-game reports.
  • reporting equals waste of time.

i've reported people for leaving the match early a million times. i have never heard of anyone getting a penalty for it.

now days if my team is trash i just leave early aswell.

    no consequences.

  • @john098 I don’t think they get a penalty, but rather that they get categorized into more lobbies like their own, where people like to ditch, so then it doesn’t matter when one does it becase they all do it.
  • "Do reports for sabotage result in any action?"   No

"Do reports for sabotage result in any action?"  Again, no

  • Reports regarding game sabotage can take longer to process.

Chat reports are easier to process because they'd simply have to process the chat logs, which can usually be objectively right or wrong.

Gameplay sabotage can be harder to process as the entire game has to be checked to see if he were throwing.

(Though typically a marker is inserted around the time of the report in the match, possibly shortening the time, but sometimes users report them at the end of the match which doesn't help with the marker)

Even then, sabotage isn't something we can always classify as an objective thing, opinions might vary, the meaning of sabotage can be different per player.

If you find yourself encountering too many throwers then it's recommended to group up beforehand via an LFG system or with friends.

@swift07It is based on the fact that leaving the game is completely allowed, if it was banable, they would not allow you to leave the game. When you are reposted for something that is not cheating, but is just annoying, I wouldn’t think that would just ignore the reports, if they were doing that, they would remove it as a report function. That being said, I have never heard about anyone being banned from leaving a match early, being afk, or sabotage. That leads me to believe the only other possible outcome, they get put in slightly different lobbies where people act like them, and ditch early. Also I threw the game on an alt account multiple times, by threw, I just mean jumping off the map alot, it was all Smurf lobbies, so from my pov they had it coming. The lobbies did exactly what I thought from that point.

Too bad they don't put hot-drop saboteuers in their own lobby, because I always get them on my team, which then results in me insta leaving and go next.
