You would have the option to carry a knife as a grenade. They would need to tweak the damage. A head shot shouldn't be 1 shot kill but would you want this as a possibility?
Or would you want it as a carepackage weapon? Maybe they limit it to 10 or 12 throws.
Either option would be cool.
If it were used as a grenade, it could essentially do more damage than a conventional grenade because it requires far more precision instead of exploding in an area of effect. The 100 damage is probably appropriate.
If it were another weapon in the game, the amount of throwing knives available would increase, which I don't think is a problem. It would basically become a short-range version of the bow and should have reduced damage to match, especially considering the speed and stealth benefits. That said, it should have severe distance fall off to prevent it from being abused to "snipe" people from 200 meters away with essentially no warning.
No. But as they love to add dumb things, to make the game less Apex, constantly, I wouldn't be surprised.
Oh, and when you pick up a throwing knife it should instantly upgrade all of your weapon attachments to lvl 4. Why waste time shooting spiders when you could cheese upgrades even faster.
@hayhorI like the grenade idea: knives do 50 damage, come in stacks of three. 3 knives = one slot (fuse holds six) headshot damage is the same as body damage.
Eh, I think it would require some adjustment. Right now, it's too high risk for the reward. It would need to become much easier to hit than it is currently. It would need an aim indicator like the arc star. AA would also be nice, as it has none.
