@Daze623 Games that let you pick the server typically run on dedicated servers, they don't burst into public cloud servers. The cost for Respawn moving Apex to dedicated game servers only would be extremely high and very risky as the number of concurrent players can vary by millions. Alternatively, having only as many dedicated servers as they can afford would mean a lot worse global coverage, of course the result being high lag and very long queues for a lot of players. If you are now at 150ms average, you'd probably have even more lag in that case.
At this point, It's too time consuming to search all the articles that I've read and brought me to the conclusions above. It's not worth it, as me being right or wrong is not going to solve your problem. And I'm certainly not hushing anyone, but rather suggesting people to take a more rational and constructive approach, by looking at the problem from more/different angles and maybe adjust the expectations accordingly.
