Does Respawn fill lobbies with bots?

Just curious if there really are that many players out there with perfect aim/dodging or if Respawn fills spots with tweaked up  bots?  I've been getting lasered this season a lot by players who never seem to miss shots no matter how much I dodge.  The trash SBMM probably is a big part of it, too.

  • @HappyHourSumwur Did you mean bots like AI players? I doubt that apex implements this. I think you're just matched with players way better than you. I have a lower KDR this season but the lobbies are noticeably tougher this time around compared to last season.
  • once you have enough time in the game, and they have enough data to have confidence that you'll keep returning as a player, they just feed you to high skill players. There's no avoiding it. They'll rig one or two lobbies for you with low skill players, then back to the shark tank after you get your dopamine rush.

    @SpeedyColt

    That is a refreshing post there.

    Great statement, how have you come to this assumption? Do you have proof to back up that statement?

    @SpeedyColt Yeah dog, how else do you expect to get good? Yall act like this is matchmaking is some evil conspiracy to make sure you dont win games, but it's just normal. After you've played for a while the game decides that you can play against your peers, and sometimes scrubs are in your lobbies because they gotta play matches too. I feel like people are really more upset that all the matches aren't just rigged in their favor, complaining about having newbies on their team while also wanting their enemies to be newbies. If you really want that dopamine rush so bad, then I'm sure you'll be willing to work for it.

    I dropped from a 1.82 KD at the end of Season 10 to 0.74 since Season 11 started. Ive been playing apex since launch. I am not an allstar by any means, however I would consider myself better than average.

    This seasons SBMM is disgusting. Most lobbies, I come across ppl there is no way in gods green earth could I even remotely compete with on my greatest day in apex history.

    How does one drop that quick in 2 weeks. I worked for over 2 years to get KD that high just to have it destroyed in just over 2 weeks. That alone tells you something is wrong. Look at all the posts in here all stating the same issues.

    @NickBeam27LOL. I kinda agree. Dropped from 2.05 to 1.5 this season. I guess Stormpoint is partly to blame (aside from the MM) since it doesn't have a Fragment-like POI where you can get multiple kills in a few minutes.

    @NickBeam27 yep, same here. My KD has pretty much been 0.6 since I started in season 5. Yet the SBMM in this game thinks I am good enough to compete against preds. I am not even exaggerating, 6 out of 10 games I am getting killed by players who have 20 bomb/4K damage badges. I rarely get 3 kills, and most games I cannot kill anything at all. Highest kill count was 7, and did it only once. Clearly some good stats there, according to the SBMM at least. It is just that bad, don't know what else to say about it.
  • @Asmodeus566 It's a known fact by now. You can test this yourself by counting how often you get a real easy lobby (free win if you will). You'll notice a pattern, but not everyone may experience these severe extremes because I believe that the mm is implemented differently for each individual.
