DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG - Try this workaround!

Seems this is working for many people, try it and report back! Add +fps_max 120 in your Apex Legends launch settings and turn vsync off in the game and outside the game (from nvidia control panel)...

Thanks for the post, hopefully it helps follks. Can I check what graphics card and driver you're using, too?

    I'm using latest drivers (442.19), got a 1070Ti but I've never been affected by this issue.

    As far as I know, it's worse for overclocked (even those coming with factory OC) and RTX cards.

      damn, that could be the issue since my card is factory OC..... I've tried every "guide" and still crash. This is a program issue for sure.

      how do I actually do this btw, can you link to the actual guide or give instructions please? command line in advance launch options, I assume?

        For the +fps_max 120 yes, go to Advanced Launch Options / Command line arguments.

        In-game V-Sync can be accessed through the Video options. For V-Sync within NVIDIA, open the NVIDIA Control Panel (from systray icon or right-clicking over your desktop) and disable it under Manage 3D Settings.

        Edit: Try the above, seems to be a better option.

        1) Go To Windows Search
        2) Search Regedit
        3) Right click and select run as administrator
        4) Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
        5) Open SYSTEM
        6) Open CurrentControlSet
        7) Open Control
        8) Click GraphicsDrivers
        9) Right Click And Select New In Windows Registry
        10) Select DWORD (32-bit) Value
        11) Type TdrLevel (Write it exactly T and L should be capital)
        12) Double click on TdrLevel
        13) Make sure value data is 0
        14) Now restart your pc

        Supposedly they've fixed the problem with the new driver 442.50, go try it!!
