@hayhor Nah, I know when it's over. I mean, I've quit games before. I, and I don't recommend this but, can enjoy myself if I have my avenues of revenge. It's built in and I'm quite happy that way.
Apex is not great, but it benefits from a pile of garbage surrounding it. It's like the least stinky of it's kind, like the least smelly dog that won't come out of the rain.
Respawn is bad at what they do, to be clear. But I've learned, cause I'm old, to wring the spine out of a game if I'm playing it. The issue is other people might not like what I do, but frankly, that's really not my problem. When the game gets better, if it gets better, I'll play better. But I'll leave when my own little revenge plots (which actually, and sadly, make the game better for me and my team mates, despite themselves), don't entertain me anymore.
What I DO recommend for everyone is remember that it's Apex's job to entertain us, not the other way around. I owe them nothing, and no one does here either. So, I can tell you, here's how my games go:
1. Rarely, there is a great game. That is because of the gambling punching pigeon design of Battle Royale freemium buy steff games.
2. Sometimes, games are just not entertaining, and that's because this game isn't great, and the opportunities aren't there to entertain regardless.
3. Most times, the game gets boring IF you don't make fun inside of it. And that's when you have to play the game that was designed, not the way the game would like you to think it plays.
And I've explained that a lot. You have to be a Machiavellian, selfish (somewhat), realist and in that regard, Respawn just really has no idea what they've made as a game. It's okay, I'm having fun.
That's all I'll say about it on this thread. But remember, this is not a moral lesson. This is a game. You don't question the ethics of your nerf football, and you shouldn't make Apex Legends any higher as a standard.
Wring its spine, if it makes you feel good. It's a video game 🙂
