Squad based game play is what makes this game kinda of unique. Why ruin the unique experience by turning it into another solomode br?
@aryan19821 I can't understand why ppl think ADDING a solo q would ruin the team experience...it's not like we are asking to switch the game from squads to solo...we are simply asking for a solo option...we like the run n gun fast pace style of apex we just want the option of playing in a 1v1 format where it's your skill vs another player skills...not your teams skill vs another teams skill or your skill vs a whole teams skill...I'm anti-social and hate me winning or losing being out of my control...I play competitive golf...this is a solo endeavor...my success or failure relies ONLY on MY performance...this is how me and MANY other Uber competitive ppl are...we don't want to have to rely on others for success or failure
@HamoHitman Yes, you must be a special breed of the elite few human beings that are extremely competitive and incredibly successful.
Or, that could be said in other words - what it sounds to me is that you're not good enough to put down a squad of 3 on your own and then blame the team for YOUR OWN mistakes. If my teammates are merely meat-shields, I am good. Yesterday I put down 3 squads of 3 people in a non-stop fight on my own. One of my teammates died fighting the first squad, the other while fighting the second squad.
As mentioned in another post, apart from other downsides, solo option would increase queue times for all and particularly teams of 2 who need a +1 random for squad play, since most of these randoms would just play solo. I wouldn't want solo option to take developer's time away from more priority things, plus if you ask for solo, then you have to have a duo etc..
SKILL is not just a 1v1 CS 1.6 aim_map setting, or a KovaaK's Aim Trainer high score. SKILL is also outsmarting and outplaying your opponents (harder with 3 people than 1), positioning, flanking, knowing when you're in a bad spot, usage of utility etc. Plus killing a full squad is a MUCH more satisfying endeavour and it is harder, and it does require more... skill.
The only thing you've done in this forum is complain and cry about how bad everything is, literally.

I squad wiped kids all the time..the problem is you think it's just A squad wiped that's required. What's required is a squad wiped followed by a squad wiped followed by a squad wiped
But yeah let's just say it's because I'm not "good" enough even though I'm ranked better on our respective platforms...and you stat pad and quit if you don't get wraith? But I'm the one who's not "good enough"? Okay bud

Because some people are under the impression that they are godlike, believing that having a team just slows them down so they come on to forums to complain about not having a solo mode, like that's going to make them do any better. They want to be able to run around and shoot people in the back without getting shot in the back (Because you know, if somebody does it to them then that person is a total noob with no skilllllllz yo) I've met loads of these people in Apex so far, they are the ones who drop solo in to a hot zone while the other two team members stick together, they hit the ground and die a couple seconds later and then quit, a few minutes after that they jump on to the forums to complain about garbage team mates.
I got news for folks like that. If they can't play well, Survive/win matches with two other people watching thier back then they're going to be even worse with nobody watching it.
@ThatFawkzi except in solo it would be you against another person...not you against another team....if I lose 1v1 so be it...I'd much rather have that than be the guy who gets paired with the gung ho boys and left to play the remainder of the match 1v3
But it's not just 1v1 is it? It's 1v1 and then 1v1 vs the guy who heard your gunshots and is running to take you both out and then 1v1vThat guy with the earsv every other player coming out of the woodwork to put some people down.
Solo mode turns in to a flustercluck of trying not to get shot in the back while shooting the person in front of you. Squad based is also like that BUT you have two other people watching your back who can fight people who try to shoot you in the back. I've got nothing against adding solo's, like I said way up top it doesn't bother me one way or the other but for some people to hate on a game that is quite frankly an amazing experience just because they can't act godlike in a solo version of it is pretty ridiculous.
I've played PubG solo and it was always the same thing, fight somebody in front of you and get absoloutely ruined by the person behind you. I'd rather have two other people watching my back so that doesn't happen.

When you say "ruin" the experience that is completely wrong. No one is saying get rid of squads and replace it with solos that would be ruining the experience
Adding solos has no negative impact on your precious unique squad experience you will still be able to play it just as you can now, except that more people will also be happy since they can go solo and find out who is truly the apex champion instead of having to rely on other people and in some cases be carried to wins
In solo if i win i can take all the credit, and if i lose i can only blame myself not my teammates. People who dont want solos added are usually bad players lets just be honest about that.
Good players believe they can win solo and look forward to the challenge without having any backup or help. It is the truest test of individual skill that a BR game can offer
Im not saying you are definitely a bad player but in general i believe thats the case, they know they won't win in solos or wont even try playing it so they just try to prevent everyone else from getting what they want. Well you dont have to play it if you dont want to. This game needs solo mode asap
