For the whiners

You guys are always so funny.

New patch comes in. Whine. Not as good as it should be. Whine. Update that it’s being worked on, whine about time it takes.

Crossplay is in BETA, you know what that means? Obviously not or you wouldn’t whine about how the servers are messed up since the patch. Yes, it’s not stable atm. Yes it could’ve been better, but guess what, nothing’s perfect.

So let me tell you some things I think alot don’t seem to grasp.

Ping: the ping to the server is different than performance display ping. The performance ping should AND will be higher as that ping is a 2-way connection WHILE in-game.

FPS: FPS is being throttled atm but the reason isn’t clear as of yet but obv it’s got something to do with the patch

Crossplay: owww boy the doozie’s here. BETA!

Errors: You guys say you’ve been playing apex for months or since beginning but suddenly with this update it’s ‘how are there so many errors all of a sudden’. I’m fortunate that I have reliable internet and that I hardly ever have problems with errors. That said, I do see congestion, lag, rubberbanding on occasions and it’s nothing new. Every patch/update it comes, so don’t try to pin it on crossplay.

Crossplay helps queue times be quicker or find more ppl. Why? Lemme show you some math; 40 xboxers play all the time. A game needs 10 ppl. Thats 4 games that can be filled.

Easy math so far. What if all of a sudden only 9 xboxers are only online. A game either needs bots to fill a game, needs to wait for another xboxer to play or find another server/region to allocate that game which takes time. BUT what if by some miraculous breakthrough a playstationer can join out of 51 that are online. Well now, 9 + 1 = 10 gamers! Huzzah!

BTW: As of yet I’ve played with roughly 90% PS (As an Xbox player) and the rest Xbox and let me tell you: you PS ppl really suck... I’ve seen it when playing on my ps. I’ve seen it at friends’ houses when they were playing and it’s even been researched https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ladbible.com/technology/gaming-xbox-players-are-better-than-playstation-and-pc-gamers-says-study-20190118.amp.html xD not to mention several polls list xbox as better platform for shooters... on console that is.

[EDIT] disabling crossplay: they already mentioned crossplay is on by default and disabling will lead to longer queues. Even without them stating that, your brain should already think ‘hmmm if it’s on by default... thousands upon thousands should turn it off for me to play with them while having relative short queue times’.
You think most will disable crossplay?! XD for pc it doesn’t matter cause they get to ‘stomp on consoles’ if they play with a console buddy. For console ppl it also shouldn’t matter cause they only play other console if they dont invite a pc friend.

So yea... disabling crossplay leads to bigger queue times... uhhh

@Koochi-Q I wish they had just had crossplay from the start and not even told you what platform the opponent was on. All the complainers wouldnt even care at this point.

Also that xbox test wasnt even on the proper console so you can toss it 😜

@DaleWWilson95 I cant. And you cannot give me a good reason why crossplay is bad other than you dont want it.

I'm all for options, which you have. Shut if off. But you're still complaining.

If this game was cross play from the beginning would you have even tried it?

I disabled the cross-play and got into a game quick, I play in CST. Some might ask why I would disable cross-play, because I do not test video games for free. If a company wants testing, search to "Keywords Studios". Even Microsoft pays for people to test their games, yet EA keeps trying FREE.

I do the same for COD and works perfect.

Here is how you can turn off cross-play on Xbox One:
Go to your Xbox settings
Scroll to Account and click on Privacy and Online Safety
Click on Xbox Live Privacy
Click on View Details and Customise
Click on Communications and Multiplayer
Change "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live" to block.

@DaleWWilson95This isn’t about you, it’s about every complainer hammering on the same thing over and over, like it’ll help. Make it known to the devs over on reddit or twitter. Here you don’t have to make 5+ threads about the same thing on the first few days. Mods here monitor activity and if multiple ppl report an issue or participate in same thread they forward it so the devs know it too.

But no, I don’t see your issue as I don’t know and don’t care what it is. Don’t like crossplay? Fine. Disable it and wait longer to play with same platform only. Easy as pie. Don’t like longer queue times? Stop playing Apex for a while till it’s sorted out.

@hayhorlolz yea but then it’d turn into a legal issue probably cause I think you have to state that you enabled crossplay.

@BaldWraithSimp yes, but not while you’re in-game. While in-game, there are multiple internet connections going on at once (well more than when you just have to ping a signal), that’s why the ping goes up while in-game. It depends on how much traffic how much it goes up

@hayhor Ive said why its bad im being forced to play with and vs PS players aswell as the rubberbanding that has come with it, ive played for 2 days reset everything and still rubberbanding every game😂 how do we have an option?😂 if we disable crossplay we have to wait weeks/months to get the playerbase back up forcing us to play crossplay😂

@Koochi-Q 110-120 ms is acceptable(for me 😛), anything beyond that is just bad. Well, every update is like that so I am not even mad. It's just funny.

@BaldWraithSimp My highest ping game ever (that I could see the ping) was Rocket League... wait wait, not true. Highest ping was Apex BUT I wanted to see how it felt playing 100+ ping so I connected to US servers. My golly... no thank you.

But on Europe servers it was Rocket League when their servers were probably doing backflips or something cause everybody in every match suddenly had 50+ ping xD. I usually play that game with 18-36 ping. You don’t really notice that slight variation if it’s just presented as is. But usually the ping increase comes due to some server probs so you also see packet loss for instance or congestion or lag and coupled with that, ping increase is noticeable.

Apex connects me at 9-15 ping and I can’t say what in-game ping is since the feature still needs some work but yesterday when I played it was 18-36.

Thats usually the average I get in most mp games

@DaleWWilson95 The issues with servers are not solely due to crossplay. This is due to the update in general. Every update they do or start of a new season is like this the first 3 days for me. Actually my in games have been fine for me.

So if the connection was good would you still hate crossplay? If yes, why?
